A lover of music and an experimenter from a young stage, Long Island, New York's Madison Elle Beer started posting videos of her singing covers of popular songs as a 13-year-old in 2012. Justin Bieber, the pop idol, spotted her rendition of Etta Jam's "At Last", and shared it with his 25+ million Twitter followers. The resulting media coverage led her to sign a contract with Island Records and a management arrangement with Bieber's manager next year. Beer also got a tiny role in Louder Than Words, starring David Duchovny, and it was premiered at the 2013 festival. Her debut single with the pop-punk melismatic track "Melodies," also saw its release later in the year.Beer's vocals began appearing on the songs of other artists such as Cody Simpson's "Valentine" and 2015's club track "I I'm Not letting You Walk Away" by Mako. In 2018, she released her solo debut EP, "As She Pleases". "Home with You" reached the Top 30 in Norway while the EP made it to half the Billboard 200. That same year, Beer released the non-album single "Hurts Like Hell" featuring Offset.
